Grade Homeroom Supplies and Mrs. Buchholz’s Science Class Supplies
![]()
This is my 13th year as St.
Stephen’s Science teacher for grades 5 – 8. I am the School’s Science
Coordinator, supporting the primary teachers who teach Science.
I have the
additional duty of assistant to Mrs. Ende.
I am faculty
adviser for our School’s National Junior Honor Society and the Scrabble Club.
Since 2004, I
have been the SSS representative to the Board of the Tonawanda/Grand Island
Teacher Center, serving on their Communications committee and coordinating all
grants from the TC.
I attended
My son and two
daughters are alumni of
As a former SSS
parent, I was also the Treasurer for HSA during the 2000-01 school year.
My philosophy
as a teacher –
As a “scientist” and teacher, I like to
think that my teaching makes a difference. I hope that my students walk out of
my classroom not only knowing more about the world than when they walked in,
but that they are better prepared to tackle the issues with a scientific basis
that comes from their own lives.
In other words, I expect my students to
gain not only content
knowledge from my classes, but process
knowledge – how they know what
they know.
