schoolsupplies

 Advanced Math Grades 7 & 8-

  • 1 or 2 inch soft sided binder for homework – at least 4 dividers; please label with student’s name
  • 1 lined tablet paper for binder – will need to be refilled throughout the year
  • 1 package Ό inch graph paper
  • 1 spiral notebook for class notes
  • scientific calculator – must have trig functions (Sin, Cos, Tan); Probability
  • Graphing Calculator - Optional, but recommended –- NYS requires that a graphing calculator be available for student use for the Integrated Algebra Regents Exam.  We have several TI-83 Plus calculators available for use in school.  I recommend that each student purchase their own for home use, so that they can practice with it while doing homework and will be better prepared to use it for the Regents.
  • ruler with inch and centimeter markings
  • protractor
  • Good compass – Recommended – either “Fiskars” or “Helix” giant bow compass;  I advise spending a little more money here, even though we only use them occasionally.  The results are much better and students are less frustrated.  This compass can stay at home, we have some here at school

teacher

I teach Computer classes, Kindergarten through Grade Eight, and Advanced Math to seventh and eighth graders.  I have been teaching here since 1991.  I earned my undergaduate degree (B.S. in Elementary Education Math Concentration) at St. Bonaventure University and a Masters in Educational Computing degree from Buffalo State.  I currently hold Permanent NYS Certification in Nursery, Kindergarten and Grades 1-6.

My husband and I have been members of St. Stephen’s Parish since 1976.  Our four grown sons and one of our daughters-in-law went here to St. Stephen’s School.

St. Stephen’s School is a wonderful place to be every school day and I feel very blessed to work here.
